I did not expect much from this hotel provided it has such a low score here. I booked it simply because it was close to the venue where the event I was attending was taking place. And it was a very nice surprise. The hotel has an excellent location some 7 minutes walk from Gare du Nord, at the metro/bus station/stops, in a walking distance to the centre (15 minutes). There are numerous shops and restaurants around, as the main shopping street leading to the centre is right opposite. The hotel has, at the moment, a common entrance and reception with Hotel des Colonies. It has 7 floors, my room was on the 6th one. I had a lovely view of the square in front of the hotel (the square is not lovely but the view was). The room was quite well equipped for a hotel in this price level, it had a fridge and a kettle to make tea/coffee. It is visible it is an older hotel but the room was clean and everything worked well, including wifi. I was not bothered by any noice from the street, actually the street in fron of the hotel is very quiet. Noisy neighbours can be a problem, as walls are rather thin - and indeed, my Spanish speaking (or rather Spanish shouting) neighbours diligently woke me up every night when coming to their room but that was not the fault of the hotel. The young ladies working at the reception were very nice. I did not take breakfast, so I cannot comment on it. Generally, I was very happy with this hotel and my only regret is, it is already fully booked for the period of my next stay in Brussels.

Nothing fancy here, however, a good and reliable option I am occasionally using for already quite a few years. Everything more or less ok for the star rating and bed actually more comfy than the first glance might suggest. Location is very good by itself, and quite handy if you wish easy walking access to both train station and the downtown. Mainly good for overnighting though - limited space for work and could be also too tight for anything more than a single person. For Brussels standards certainly good value for the price ratio. Was not too happy that for this booking they had only "breakfast included" options (tend often to ignore hotels' breakfasts, even if paid for), but turned out to be quite handy for this particular stay - breakfast is reasonably good, and, if you need leave early, not much alternatives nearby.

The hotel is very conveniently located - 10 minutes walk to attractions. There are good hotels in the neighboring buildings. Parking is also right next to the hotel, and there is a public transport stop in front of the building itself. Reception 24/7, very nice lobby. The room has a bathtub or a shower and a beautiful view from the window. I liked everything, I recommend! Very good breakfast with variety of food. Clean and comfortable rooms with nice view of a square. Location was amazing, very close to the Botanique, and 10 minute walk from Grand Place (city centre). Ideal location, close to Rue Neuve. Room in a tower with a magnificent 270° panoramic view. Staff very welcoming and friendly. The common areas with the neighboring hotel, Progress, are absolutely beautiful.

The location of the hotel is within a proximity to a lot of amenities and services. The room was spacious, the bedsheets was so warm…. No heating needed and it was so cold outside. The receptionist was very kind, he checked me into my room in a professional manner. The breakfast was exceptional, they have a variety of selections… the sausages and mushrooms was lovely. Highly recommend staying here. Thank you guys again, I will definitely return ☺️

Location near the metro was great, the beautiful old building was expertly restored, the staff was nice, there was no food as advertised, only a snack vending machine, and the bar had the same dirty dishes soaking in the sink the 2 days I was there. Room was small but comfortable, bathroom was updated. Hotel was hard to find since signage outside pointed to the wrong side of the building.
